when Henry the 8th broke away from the catholic church, he had his soliders go into churches/cathedrals and destroy anything that represented catholicism...here the statues on the mantel have been chopped off



they still do this today: when you are a new member of the choir you have your friends smack your head against this stone...talk about dedication huh?
