ello, ello

ok so far this is place is lots of fun!! the weather is surprisingly warm...actually hot. It gorgeous outside right now but im resting for my 4 hour walk that i have soon haha. but I had my interview yesterday and of course with my awful sense of direction it took an hour and a half to get there. But once I got there, it all went better. The company is very tiny because I am not exactly working at the record company-it is a sub-company that is called Music Bridge that works with booking the artists at venues, which is really neat. So once I left there I was starving and went with my flatmate to get fish and chips. They were delicious but the ketchup here is AWFUL. Even though you all warned me about it! Then after lunch we travelled to the British Museum which was so overwhelming that you almost need days to do it all. After my mini adventure i took a nap then woke up. Then i went on another adventure and stumbled upon this really cool neighborhood that reminds me of georgetown. It has all these shops and resturants with all these people drinking in the streets. It was awesome. So I went back and got ready to go out. All 15 of us went to dinner and did a bit a pub crawl, which was a lot of fun, but expensive! This morning the rest of the group arrived and we are going on a walk around the east end! But, I must go shower now so I hope that you guys are enjoying your summer!

Day One

So today I landed around 930. Despite my exhaustion I was so amazed just when we were landing. It was different from any other place...every part of it looked different--there were no suburban areas with swimming pools every other house-instead there were castles. We got to Madison House around 1230/1 and then I had to drag all my suitcases up 3 flight of stairs but its worth it. I have a view of other houses and a garden. Later we went out to this place called hummus bros and it was delicious (surprisingly). Then we searched for a pub playing the soccer game because Manchester United was playing against Barcelona. I'm not sure who won because they were all so packed. But finally we found an uncrowded tavern and had a pint. Well that made me really sleeply because I hadnt gotten any all day! So now i must go sleep. But the city is so quaint and everyone is very nice here. love and miss you all!

The Night Before

So tomorrow is the big day...I take off tomorrow at 9 pm! I love you and I am going to miss you all...I will land on Wednesday (5/27) at 9 am, but I am sure I will post before then!
